Timothy A. (Timmy) Parker, 30, of Meadville died Sunday, December 22, 2019 after a long battle with addiction.
Timmy was born October 20, 1989 in Meadville, a son of Elmer and Mary Hipple Parker.
He was a graduate of Saegertown High School and attended Edinboro University where he was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Over the years, Timmy had worked for PTR, Pasco Tool and Valesky’s.
He was a member of various area fire halls, the Italian Civic Club, and attended the Unitarian Universalist Church in Meadville. Timmy loved helping others and doing various community service projects. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and computers.
Timmy was an active participant in the local Narcotics Anonymous. He encouraged many others to work towards recovery all while fighting his own battle with addiction.
He is survived by his parents, Elmer and Mary Parker of Meadville; two sisters, Melissa Parker of Conneaut Lake and Kristy Harper (Preston) of Bremen, GA; his paternal grandmother, Virginia Parker of Centerville; a nephew, Christopher Parker; two nieces, Madyson Duffy and Bella Harper; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Elmer Parker, Sr. and his maternal grandparents, Harold and Adeline Hipple.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, December 30th from 3-6 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE where the funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Jeffrey Bobin, Pastor of the Hamlin Chapel United Methodist Church, officiating.
