Chester C. Joslin, 92, of Meadville, a former sales manager for Keystone View Co., died Tuesday, January 27, 1970, at Mead Nursing Home where he had been a patient for two weeks.
A native Crawford Countian, Mr. Joslin retired in 1940 from active affiliation with Keystone View Co. For many years, he was its eastern sales manager and also was a director. In 1941, he became affiliated with Interstate Accounts Service, Inc. of Chicago, continuing with them until 1957.
After leaving Keystone, he spent three years in Florida where he was associated with the late Frank P. Miller in the Keystone Heights real estate development. For a period of time, he was associated with Talon, Inc., in sales promotion work with Lewis Walker II and Elmer Kelly.
Mr. Joslin was born in Cussewago Township, September 1, 1877, a son of William H. and Azuba Agnes Curtis Joslin. He married Alida Walters Crispin in 1918 and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 15, 1968.
He was active in Grace United Methodist Church, having been a member for more than 50 years, a layleader for 25 years, president of its Men's Bible Class for five years, a trustee, member of the Offical Board and on the church finance committee.
Mr. Joslin also was a director of St. Luke's Hospital at Cleveland, a director of Keystone Gas Co. of Canonsburg, a member of Meadville Roundtable, a member of Masonic Lodge 408, Meadville, and a member of Coudersport Consistory.
Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Lois) DeCoudres, who recently moved to England, and two grandchildren, Roberta and Clayton DeCoudres.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Lundys Lane Cemetery, Erie.
