Daniel G. McCain

Daniel G. McCain, 64 of Stoneboro, previously of Meadville, passed away on May 13, 2023 at Meadville Medical Center. Daniel was born in Meadville on December 26, 1958 to Joan (Smith) McCain and the late Glenn McCain. He was a graduate of Maplewood High School and went on to serve his Country in the United States Army. He then worked for many years in roofing, tool and die manufacturing, and the oil industry.

Daniel loved spending time with his family, he never missed a family reunion or a gathering. He enjoyed going golfing with his brother and always enjoyed a family game of putt-putt. Most of all he just loved spending time with them especially around a fire enjoying a cold beverage.

Daniel is survived by his mother: Joan McCain of Meadville, sisters: Christine (Dan) Partin; Cindy Finkbeiner; Beverly McMann; Josephine Higley; and Trina McClure, one brother: David McCain, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father: Glenn McCain.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, INC. 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville, where visitation will be from 5 pm – 7 pm on Friday, May 19. A short prayer service will follow at 7 pm.
