Donna Jeanne Giles

Donna Jeanne Giles, 76, of Saegertown, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 13, 2023.

She was born August 3, 1946 in Washington, PA, a daughter of William E. and Marion Roach Reed.  She married Carey Giles September 16, 1994.

Donna was a 1964 graduate of Meadville High School.  She worked at Johnny’s Drive Inn in her youth then at Allegheny College and subsequently as a plant manager for Ohio Rubber Company and it’s successor Ace Products, retiring in 2006 following 39 years of service.

Donna was the past secretary/treasurer of Keystone Mini Tractor Pullers.  She was a supporter of Team Family Affair with the Relay for Life and enjoyed swimming, being on her computer, and especially attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Donna was a member of Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church.

Survivors, in addition to her husband Carey, include four children, Pamela Boyer of Saegertown, William Novak (Kandace) of Simpsonville, SC, Darren Giles (Ann) of Saegertown, and Kimberly Banik (Ryan) of Avella; six grandchildren, Taylor Strickland, Joshua Novak, Brandi Ryder, Maxwell Giles, Mackenzie Gregory, and Tyler Snyder; Amber Plaisted, fiancée to Robert Ryder; three great-grandchildren, Brayden, Anthony, and Wesley; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Darilynn Running; a brother, William Dean Reed; and a grandson, Robert Ryder.

Calling hours will be Monday, March 20th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, March 21st at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Fischer, Pastor of Twelve Apostles Lutheran Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Saegertown Cemetery.
