Earl Llewellyn Moore, Sr.

Earl Llewellyn Moore, Sr., of Conneaut Lake, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023.  He was 87 years of age and the last of an extensive local family.

Son of O.R. Moore and Minnie Rhoades Moore in West Mead Township.  He married the former Nancy Sue Bailey in October of 1958.  She preceded him in death in 2008.

Earl spent his 41-year career as an Ironworker for Cleveland Local 17, proudly helping to build the infrastructure of some of the city’s tallest buildings.  During his retirement he enjoyed spending time being a Mr. Fix-it and riding shotgun with the Mayor of Pine Road, Randy Daniels.

He is survived by his loving family:  Jany (Les) Allen of Conneaut Lake, Earl Moore Jr., of Conneaut Lake; Kevin (Lindi) Moore of Midland, Georgia; Alan (Kim) Moore, of Pittsburgh; and Patrick (Lira Hoxha) Moore of Clifton, New Jersey.  He is further survived by six grandchildren, Michael, Justin, Jeremy, Katie, Madeline, and Jack, and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be Friday, May 12th at 10:00 a.m. at Geneva Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. William Cope, Pastor of Allida Smith Wesleyan Methodist Church officiating.
