James Thomas Beers, 51, went to be with his Heavenly Father on April 8th. He was born January 12, 1969 in Meadville to Thomas and Carol Beers and was the youngest of four children. Jim will be remembered as a loving, generous, hard-working man who loved his family and lived a life of service and compassion.
Jim was a graduate of Meadville High School, class of 1987, and graduated at the top of his class from Clarion University. Upon graduation, Jim was the Chief Executive and Administrative Officer for the Meadville Chamber of Commerce. Afterwards, Jim pursued his passion in healthcare, serving as a leader for several nursing homes in Pennsylvania; he most enjoyed his employment at Wesbury United Methodist Community where he passed. In addition to his career, Jim’s hobbies included hunting and fishing with his son, playing golf, serving as a board member for numerous charities, and rooting for the Steelers.
Jim is survived by his mother, Carol Beers, his daughter, Lindsay K. Beers, his son, Gregory J. Beers, his brothers, Scott Beers (Kimberly) and Robert Beers (Darla), his sister, Debbie Faulkenberry, his foster brother, Tommy Steel and his four nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A private family memorial service will be held at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE with the Rev. Sarah Roncolato, Pastor of Stone United Methodist Church officiating.
