Linda Irene Corey

Linda Irene Corey, 74, of Meadville, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, June 16, 2022.

She was born November 1, 1947 in Meadville, a daughter of the late William Erie and Irene S. Michael Hall.  She married Frederick L. Corey June 8, 1968.

Linda was a 1965 graduate of Meadville High School and received her Registered Nurse’s degree from Clarion University.  She worked as a RN at Meadville Medical Center for 20 years and assisted her husband Fred with their business, Corey Services.

Linda was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.  She was also a member of West Mead 2 Fire Hall, M.P. Davis Hose Company and was actively involved with Meadville Bulldog Hockey for 40 years.  She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.

Survivors, in addition to her loving husband Fred, include four sons, Robert Corey (Desiree) of Meadville, Jameson Corey (Dawn) of Meadville, Brandon Corey (Bethany Fisher) of Meadville, and Benjamin Corey (Tammy) of Cochranton; four grandchildren, Kyle, Anya, Aleksey, and Brandon Corey; a brother, William E. Hall, Jr. of Meadville; two sisters, Karen Plummer of Columbus, IN and Maryanne Stein (Rex) of Mercer; and nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 21st from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE where the funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Rebecca Patterson, Pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
