Obituary
Richard L. (Rick) Crago, 65, of Guys Mills, died Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Marquette Hospice House following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Meadville October 30, 1957, a son of Richard H. and Doris J. Stainbrook Crago.
Rick was a 1975 graduate of Randolph High School and worked as a general contractor for Granda Construction and the Meadville Redevelopment Authority.
He was a member of VFW Post 2006 and Saegertown American Legion Post 205. Rick enjoyed NASCAR, maintaining his house, mowing his yard, and was a Kansas City Chief’s fan.
Survivors include five children; Bryan Crago of Guys Mills, Ryan Crago of Cochranton, Kaitlyn Sharpe of Meadville, Austin Crago of Meadville, and Connor Crago (fiancée Meghan Kennedy) of Guys Mills; four grandchildren, Colten, Avallyn, Logan, and Lennox; his parents, Richard and Doris Crago of Meadville; a sister, Brenda Shartle (Robert) of Meadville; a nephew, Tristan Shartle of Meadville; and a niece, Makayla Shartle (fiancé Trevor Martin) of Cranberry Township.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Crago.
A private family memorial service will be held at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Crawford County (for the Marquette Hospice House), 766 Liberty Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
