Sarah (Sally) Grace Johnson, 97, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community, passed away there Friday, November 20, 2020.
She was born May 30, 1923 in Ogdensburg, NY, a daughter of David C. and Sarah Grace Woodlee Merriman. She married George H. Johnson June 4, 1947 and he preceded her in death December 21, 2005.

Sarah (Sally) Grace Johnson, 97, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community, passed away there Friday, November 20, 2020.
She was born May 30, 1923 in Ogdensburg, NY, a daughter of David C. and Sarah Grace Woodlee Merriman. She married George H. Johnson June 4, 1947 and he preceded her in death December 21, 2005.
Sally received an Associate’s Degree in Library Science from the Community College of Denver in 1975. She worked as a volunteer at a local library in Rogers, AR and started the Friendly Book Store in Rogers where they sold used books to raise funds for the public library. Sally created a “Pamphlet” vertical file for the library where patrons could look up pamphlets on a variety of subjects and travel opportunities.
She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Riverfront Commission, Iowa City, IA and was a former recipient of the volunteer of the year award in Rogers, AR.
A member of Christ Church, Episcopal, Sally was involved in the National office in the United Thank Offering, The Church Periodical Club and attended three national conventions. She enjoyed entertaining and having dinner parties with her friends. She also enjoyed golfing, her bridge club, book clubs, Questers and did extensive research to create a narrative genealogy record for the family.
Survivors include a daughter, Jo Carol Enterline (John) of Atlantic; a son, Philip Curtis Johnson (Dorothy) of Golden, CO; two grandchildren, Shawn Paul Enterline (Kelly) and Julie Ann Enterline Scott (Donald); and four great-grandchildren, John Arthur, Sarah Grace and Elaina Noel Scott and Keegan Thomas Enterline.
A memorial service will be held at a date and time to be announced.
