Doris E. (Dory) Perfett, 89, formerly of Conneaut Lake and a resident of Rolling Fields, passed away there Wednesday, May 8, 2019.
She was born May 28, 1929 in Sharpsville, a daughter of William H. and Zora Thelma (Rager) Elder. She married William H. Perfett October 6, 1951 and he preceded her in death July 11, 2010.
Dory was a 1947 graduate of Sharpsville High School. She was co-owner/operator with her husband Bill of the Stable Pit & Pub Restaurant and Cow Shed for 33 years. She previously worked at Westinghouse in Sharon.
A member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church, Dory enjoyed tool painting and was selected to have one of her ornaments displayed on the Heart of Hearts Christmas tree at the Smithsonian Institute, Washington, D.C. She loved cooking and especially family gatherings.
Survivors include three sons, David Perfett (Cynthia) of Conneaut Lake, Francis Perfett (Sherri) of Moon Township, and William Perfett (Pam) of Mars; a daughter, Mary Beth Lemieux of Toledo, OH; twelve grandchildren, Jason Hess, Ashley Wakefield, Amy Krepps, David Perfett, Christopher, Timothy, Jacqueline and Samantha Lemieux, and Ramie, Jesse, Jack and James Perfett; five great-grandchildren, Maelen and Emery Hess and Mabel, Micah and Elsie Wakefield; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Hess; a grandson, Adam Perfett; two brothers, William and Richard Elder; and three sisters, Alberta Smith, Thelma Grace Williams and an infant, Warren Jean Elder.
Calling hours will be Friday, May 10th from 4-7 p.m. at WAID-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD., CONNEAUT LAKE with a Scripture Prayer service at 6:45 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 11th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church, 155 S. Ninth St., Conneaut Lake with Fr. David E. Carter as Celebrant.
Interment will be in Our Lady Queen of the Americas Cemetery.
