Mrs. Bessie M. Noel, 90, a resident of Meadville, formerly of Foxburg, widow of Lloyd D. Noel, died Saturday, July 11, 1981, at City Hospital.  She had been in failing health for the past year.  

She was born in Bruin, Butler County, May 14, 1891, daughter of Frederick and Lydia Emerick Warren.  She married Noel October 25, 1916.  He died June 13, 1964.  

In her early life, she was employed at the former Spirella Corset Co. at Meadville.  She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church; a member and past matron of Parker City Chapter No. 60, Order of the Eastern Star, Parker; member of General Richard Butler Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution of Butler; of the board of directors of Carnegie Library of Foxburg; and of Aux. of Harm Jan Huidekoper Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006, Meadville. 

Survivors include two sons, Robert W. Noel of Meadville and and C. Richard Noel of Grove City; one brother, Clarence (Pete) Warren of Meadville; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Naysmith and a sister, Helen.  

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home. 

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
